Big Adventure Center is located in the heart of Bethel,
Maine. Mostly known as a wonderful small town at the entrance to the
grandeur of the White Mountains and a wonderful place to live (please
don't tell too many), Bethel is also known as the home of Sunday River,
the most exciting ski area in the East. Accommodations are available
right on the mountain or go directly to the chamber of commerce for
all sorts of ideas.
Access from East Coast Metropolitan Areas: take
the Maine Turnpike to old exit 11 for Grey & New Gloucester. Take
Route 26 North through quaint villages and rolling countryside to Bethel
(50 minutes). Once you arrive in Bethel, follow signs for Sunday
River Ski Resort - continue north on Route 26 and east on Route 2 for
half a mile. Cross the Androscoggin River and look for the BIG Adventure
billboard immediately on your left.
Access from Vermont and New Hampshire: Take Route 2 East from
Gorham, NH approximately 20 miles. Cross the Androscoggin River
and look for the BIG Adventure billboard immediately on your left.
Access from Rumford, Maine and Northern areas:
Take Route 2 West from Rumford, maine approximately 20 miles. Stop
before crossing the Androscoggin River in Bethel and look for the BIG
Adventure billboard immediately on your right.
